For August 2020 in the state of Texas, Houston Methodist posted the largest number of job openings in the state of Texas, with 1052 openings, followed by Southwestern Medical Center (with 989 openings) and Christus Health (with 924 openings). In total, these employers posted 2965 new job openings this month in Texas. Last month, 796 1052 and 989 had the largest number of job openings in Texas.

The largest share of these job openings were in the Houston/Galveston area.
These different employers each had their own demands for employees from a variety of occupations. For example, Houston Methodist were, in particular seeking qualified Registered Nurses , with over 452 job postings this month. For Southwestern Medical Center , Registered Nurses were in high demand, with over 145 job postings this month. And at Christus Health , Registered Nurses were in high demand, with over 327 job postings this month.

The state of Texas experienced a -13% percent change in the number of total job postings open. The Dallas/Fort Worth region experienced the highest number of job postings open as of July 04 , and Dallas/Fort Worth region experienced the highest number of job postings open as of August 04 . Victoria experienced the largest change in job postings over the July 2020 to August 04 time period .
