The top three occupations with the most new job openings in Texas for the month of April were Driver/Sales Workers and Truck Drivers with 1,043 new openings, Secretaries and Administrative Assistants with 1,047 new openings, and Elementary and Middle School Teachers with 1,130 new openings.

The consumer price index (CPI) went up from 234.677 in January 2015 to 235.186 in February 2015, an annualized rate of 2.60%.



The number of job openings in Texas for “petroleum engineers” and “geological and petroleum technicians” decreased from 595 in December 2014 to 517 in January 2015, while the searcher-to-job opening ratio also increased from 0.78 to 1.07 in the same span.
